I have wrestled with writing this blog for a while now. As a minister’s wife born into a family of minister’s I have searched for books, magazines, and blogs that could inspire me and encourage me in my role as a pastor’s wife. But what I’ve found is that it’s hard to be vulnerable, when your job is to lead. My hope is that in some small way, my little blog can help other pastor’s wives who are looking for a breath of fresh air. Those who are facing crazy schedules, endless meetings, PMS, confrontation and bad hair days AND for those who are blessed to make a difference, who carry the burden for a hurting generation, who’s hearts ache for total strangers and most importantly those who are called according to God’s purpose!
We are the wives behind the pastor’s. We are part of the call and we have a role to play. I am writing this to the countless wives who long for the freedom to be themselves. We may not have it all together, our lives don’t make sense to everyone and sometimes we feel alone. But that doesn’t make us any less effective.
It makes us real!
What an awesome blog, I am so thrilled to hear someone talk so openly and honestly. Thanks so much for taking the time to write. xxx
